- Santa Bárbara debutó en el campeonato en la rama femenina
La segunda fecha del Campeonato Nacional de Voleibol de Primera División se tramitó entre jueves y domingo con intensos partidos en diferentes gimnasios del país.
La fecha presentó el debut del campeón nacional femenino, Santa Bárbara que superó el jueves en condición de visitante a Goicoechea con parciales de 24-26, 25-18, 10-25 y 26-28, en un reñido partido en casa de las guadalupanas.
El domingo Cartago sacó la faena en el Polideportivo de su cantón al doblegar a la UCR 3-1. Las brumosas se dejaron el primer set 25-21 pero las académicas se dejaron el segundo 22-25.
Luego Cartago hizo valer su cancha y ganó los siguientes sets 25-21 y 25-23, para celebrar su primer triunfo del torneo, mientras que la UCR sumó su segundo revés en dos fechas.
El tercer juego de la jornada fue el duelo universitario entre UNA y UNED, con localía para las de la sede herediana.
Fue el partido más disputado de la fecha, llegando hasta el quinto set. El primero fue para las visitantes 18-25, en el segundo respondieron las locales ganando 25-22.
La UNA ganó el tercer set con idéntico marcador que en el segundo, pero UNED obligó al quinto dejándose el cuarto periodo con cifras de 19-25.
Las dueñas de casa se dejaron el partido, venciendo en el set definitivo con cifras de 15-10, para sumar su primer triunfo
De los siete equipos del torneo femenino ya todos saben lo que es ganar un partido y perder otro, salvo Santa Bárbara que ganó en su único partido y UCR que no ha podido ganar en dos presentaciones hasta el momento
La tercera fecha arranca el sábado a las 5:00 pm con el juego UNED ante Goicoechea en Barrio Dent, ese mismo día pero a partir de las 7 :00 pm en Plaza Víquez se medirán los sextetos de San José y Cartago
La fecha se cierra el domingo, en el Panamerican School, ahí se medirán desde las 5:00 pm los equipos de Santa Bárbara y la Universidad Nacional
Masculino
En masculino la fecha arrancó el sábado con un reñido duelo entre Aserrí y Belén, con triunfo para los visitantes 2-3.
El primer set fue belemita 15-25, pero Aserrí ganó el segundo 25-20. En el tercero volvió a irse arriba el equipo del cantón herediano al vencer 23-25.
Pero los locales se dejaron el cuarto de manera dramática 27-25. En el set decisivo Belén se impuso 09-15 para celebrar su primer triunfo del torneo. Aserrí sumó su segunda caída.
También el sábado hubo actividad en Atenas, donde los actuales campeones superaron de manera clara a UNED 3-0, con parciales de 25-20, 25-17, y 25-23, para sumar dos triunfos en igual números de juegos. UNED sumó su primera derrota.
Otro equipo que se hizo fuerte como local fue Cartago. Los brumosos superaron a San Carlos en la cancha de su Polideportivo. El primer set finalizó 25-22, el segundo 25-18 y el tercero 25-19. De esta manera Cartago gana por primera vez en el torneo, mientras San Carlos suma su primera derrota.
La actividad dominical y de la fecha culminó en Abangares donde el equipo local cayó 0-3 ante San José. Los parciales a favor de los josefinos fueron de 21-25, 22-25 y de nuevo 22-25.
Los capitalinos junto a Atenas son los únicos dos equipos hasta ahora con marca perfecta. Abangares por su parte arrancó con dos derrotas, pero buscará levantarse el sábado cuando se mida desde las 6:30 pm a Belén en condición de visitante.
Hora y media antes arrancará en Plaza Víquez el duelo San José ante Cartago y en el Gimnasio Siglo XXl de San Carlos los locales recibirán a Atenas en un atractivo encuentro a partir de las 5:30 pm.
Esa misma noche desde las 7pm se medirán en Barrio Dent los equipos de UNED y Aserrí.
