El fin de semana vivió las emociones de la fecha 6 del Torneo de Voleibol de Sala en las ramas masculinas y femeninas. En varones el partido más emocionante de la fecha lo disputaron en el Gimnasio XXl de San Carlos el equipo local ante San José, partido disputado de principio a fin con marcador favorable para los capitalinos 2-3.
El primer set favoreció a los locales 25-23, lo mismo que el segundo 25-18. Sin embargo San José reaccionó de gran manera para ganar los tres siguientes sets 19-25, 20-25, 16-18. Con este marcador los josefinos se mantienen al frente de la clasificación.
Otro partido que necesitó de cinco sets fue el duelo en casa de Abangares donde llegó de visita Cartago.
Los brumosos se impusieron 2-3. El primer set fue espectacular presentado las inusuales cifras de 32-30 a favor de los locales. Cartago se dejó el segundo 19-25. Abangares se dejó el tercero 25-21, pero los visitantes sellaron el triunfo ganando 21-25, y 13-15 en los sets siguientes.
El equipo que sí hizo valer su localía fue Belén jugando en su gimnasio ante UNED. Los universitarios ganaron el primer ser 18-25, sin embargo los belemitas reaccionaron e hicieron el partido suyo ganando los siguientes sets 25-18, 25-19, y 25-18, para sumar una nueva victoria en el torneo
La única barrida que se dio en esta fecha en masculino fue a favor de Atenas ante Aserrí 25-16, 25-19, 25-21. 3-0 en triunfo para los actuales campeones.
Femenino
En femenino no hubo «barridas» . Todos los partidos llegaron al cuarto o quinto set,
Santa Bárbara se repuso de un mal arranque ante UNED que le superó en el primer set 24-26, para ganar los tres siguientes 27-25, 25-09 y 25-14 y así dejarse el partido.
Goicoechea cayó en casa ante San José 1-3. El primer set fue para las josefinas 24-26, y el segundo también 18-25. Las guadalupanas se recuperaron en el tercero el cual se dejaron 25-23. En el cuarto San José ganó 15-25 para dejarse el partido
El duelo universitario entre la UNA y UCR fue intenso de principio a fin . El triunfo fue para las de Heredia quienes jugaron como locales. El marcador fue 3-2
El primer set fue para la Universidad Nanaciola 25-17. Sin embargo, la UCR respondió en el siguiente 21-25. Las locales ganaron el tercero 25-15 pero UCR ganó el cuatro 21-25. En el set definitivo las locales se impusieron 15-09, para alzarse con una dramática victoria.
