La Asociación de Santo Domingo continúa con su proceso de masificación muy prolifero y esta vez realizaron un intercambio cultural con la organización CBN Aruba Eagle U8, quienes se encuentran en nuestro país para compartir y llevar a cabo una serie de actividades que favorecen el desarrollo de las ligas menores desde el 25 al 31 de julio.
Una cantidad grande de niños categoría U8 estará en sueldo mingueño jugando al béisbol y lo más importante aprendiendo de este maravilloso deporte con el objetivo principal que es divertirse.
Los arubeños se han sentido muy bien es nuestro país y están disfrutando mucho de las instalaciones del histórico Polideportivo de Santo Domingo que ha albergado al grupo. Hay que recordar que desde hace tiempo la Asociación de Santo Domingo los ha denominado como Minguitos toda esas bases que son la cuna de sus futuras estrellas.
Sebastián Arrieta quien es uno de los líderes y ha realizado un excelente trabajo con los infantiles en Santo Domingo nos aseguró que este tipo de intercambios ayuda mucho a la evolución del béisbol nacional.
“Esta actividad nos ayuda crecer en nuestro país, ya que a tan corta edad poder jugar de manera internacional hace que el desarrollo y la evolución de nuestros futuros peloteros sea más sólida, pensando siempre en hacer deporte, competir y ganar maravillosa experiencia”.
A demás Arrieta nos expresó los niños vivieron un ambiente muy especial: “Para ellos el jugar de noche con luces y en un campo con dimensiones grandes hacen que se motiven y cerque a sus sueños de llegar a lo más alto del béisbol, y sobre todo cuando hay ucha afición como fue el pasado miércoles en nuestro polideportivo”, afirmó bastante emocionado Sebastián quien está comprometido con seguir masificando el deporte en el catón.
Esta serie de intercambios y encuentros que se van realizar durante toda esta semana, serán jugados apegados a Little League (T-Ball), dejando claro que este formato que ha crecido mucho en Costa Rica impulsado por Santo Domingo es actualmente una de las propuestas más sólidas para jugar al béisbol menor.
