El torneo de Clausura 2022 de Primera División ya está en marcha en ambas categorías las cuales ya disputaron encuentros de la fechas uno y dos, y que tiene, hasta el momento, a UNED en femenino y a Cartago en masculino liderando la tabla de posiciones.
En femenino, San José, ganador de Apertura, hizo valer su sede donde superó 3-0 a Universidad Nacional con parciales de 25-14, 25-14 y 25-13.
Mientras que Goicoechea hizo lo suyo de visita ante la Universidad de Costa Rica con marcador final de 1-3 los parciales fueron 11-25, 25-23, 15-25 y 21-25, para el primer triunfo de las guadalupanas en el torneo
Otro equipo que ganó de visitante fue UNED visitando a Cartago con cifras de 0-3 y parciales de 19-25, 22-25 y 20-25.
UNED mantuvo su buena racha y en la segunda jornada derrotó en Heredia a la Universidad Nacional con cifras de 1-3. Las visitantes ganaron los dos primeros parciales 21-25 y 23-25. Pero las heredianas ganaron el tercero 25-18, finalmente el triunfo favoreció a UNED 25-27. La fecha dos arrancó en femenino de manera parcial.
En masculino el ganador de Apertura, San José, arrancó con un contundente triunfo de 3-0 sobre Aserrí con parciales de 25-18, 25-18 y 25-22. Atenas también ganó sin conceder set ante Belén en condición de visitante con parciales de 23-25, 21-25 y 20-25.
Cartago también debutó con triunfo en su partido ante UNED con parciales de 25-18, 25-22, 19-25 y 25-22, para el 3-1 final a favor de los brumosos.
El arranque cartaginés es de dos victorias, pues en su segundo duelo los brumosos volvieron a ganar como locales ante San Carlos 3-0 con parciales de 25-22, 25-17 y 25-18.
Atenas también conquistó su segunda victoria y de nuevo como visitante en este caso ante UNED por 1-3. El primer y último sets fueron el más emocionantes favoreciendo el primero a los locales 29-27, pero Atenas hizo suyos los tres siguientes con cifras de 22-25, 18-25 y 27-29
Belén se recuperó de su derrota de la fecha 1 ganando en su segunda presentación ante Aserrí por 0-3, con parciales de 22-25, 13-25 y 23-25.
