Desde este viernes 18 y hasta el domingo 20 de noviembre se celebrará en la piscina del Polideportivo de Cartago la segunda eliminatoria de natación rumbo a la etapa final de los XL Juegos Deportivos Nacionales Icoder 2022-2023.
Luego de que el pasado fin de semana acudieran al llamado 362 competidores de Belén, Cartago, Desamparados, Escazú, Flores, Goicoechea, Heredia, Limón, Mora, San José y Santa Ana; en esta ocasión llegarán 359, en representación de Alajuela, Atenas, Coto Brus, Grecia, La Unión, Naranjo, Nicoya, Montes de Oca, Palmares, Pérez Zeledón, Pococí, San Carlos y Santa Cruz, en busca de la ansiada clasificación a Juegos en las categorías infantil B, juvenil A, juvenil B y mayor; en masculino y femenino.
Los mejores ocho tiempos por prueba y categoría, una vez completadas las dos eliminatorias, clasificarán a la etapa final de la natación de la edición 40 de Juegos Nacionales, programada para efectuarse del jueves 26 al domingo 29 de enero de 2023 en el Polideportivo Monserrat de Alajuela,
Las competencias de este fin de semana en Cartago se iniciarán el viernes a las 4 p.m. El sábado habrá dos sesiones, a las 9 a.m. y 4 p.m., y el domingo una más, a partir de las 9 a.m.
El evento, organizado por la Federación Costarricense de Deportes Acuáticos (Fecoda) con el aval del Instituto Costarricense del Deporte y la Recreación, Icoder, será transmitido en vivo por la página de Facebook de la Federación (https://www.facebook.com/FECODACR) y en la cuenta de YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7c9FpxbyYKUB0MJw4XguuA).
