San José sacó su estampa de favorito y derrotó 16×4 a Los Chiles para asegurar la medalla de plata en los JDN 2023. La tropa de Chepe desplegó una ofensiva explosiva para no darle tregua a su rival de Turno.
Por los metropolitanos destacó Joshua López al batear de 3-3 con un triple y cinco carreras remolcadas, siendo López el hombre grande para encaminar el triunfo.

En un juego con muchos detalles los alajuelenses con mucha actitud lograron reponerse de perder una ventaja de 5×1, ya que Upala también luchó y empató las acciones sacando del partido al derecho Junior Urbina.
Jeffrey Pozo fue la bujía del equipo al ligar 4-3, con dos dobles, tres anotadas y dos impulsadas. También fue muy clave el trabajo de Allan Quirós, quien aportó en la lomita y con el bate. En plan de relevo lanzó por espacio 5.1 innings en los que toleró para de carreras y abanicó a cuatro rivales. Ofensivamente Quirós se fue 4-3 con un triple en la hora cero, impulsado una rayita y anotando dos más.
