La triatleta de Coopenae Raquel Solís ganó esta mañana la primera Copa Continental en su carrera deportiva. Lo hizo en Calima, Colombia, competencia que es parte del circuito mundial de eventos clasificatorios para los Juegos Olímpicos de París.
La seleccionada nacional completó los 750 metros de natación, 20 kilómetros de ciclismo y 5 kilómetros de carrera en un tiempo de 1:06:35.
El segundo lugar fue para la guatemalteca Marlen Alejandra Aguilar (1:06:53), seguida de la venezolana Rosa Elena Martínez (1:06:59). Catalina Torres, compañera de equipo de Solís, ocupó el noveno lugar (1:10:37).
“Fue un evento realmente duro porque tenía unas partes muy complicadas, pero se logró el triunfo, estoy muy contenta por eso y con muchas ganas de seguir compitiendo”, detalló la triatleta nacional.
La siguiente competencia de Raquel será el Campeonato Nacional en Golfito el 12 de mayo y una semana después estará en la Copa del Mundo de Huatulco, en México.
