La ciclista de 31 años y oriunda de Orotina, Milagro Mena Solano, será la atleta que represente al ciclismo costarricense en los próximos Juegos Olímpicos (JJOO) en París.
Así lo dio a conocer este viernes la junta directiva de la Federación Costarricense de Ciclismo de (FECOCI) tras una evaluación de criterios técnicos, entre ellos entrenamientos, los resultados en competencias, entre otros aspectos.
“Desde enero venimos trabajando sobre la corredora para los JJOO, desde la Federación tomamos la decisión de que Milagro Mena sea la atleta que nos represente para las justas, ya estamos comunicando también al Comité Olímpico Nacional (CON) la decisión”, afirmó Óscar Ávila, presidente de FECOCI.
Los Juegos Olímpicos se realizarán entre el 26 de julio y el 11 de agosto.
La entrenadora de Mena en las Olimpiadas será Paula Herrera y el mecánico será Keylor Quirós.
