[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Los XLI Juegos Deportivos Nacionales 2024 llegaron a su fin con el CCDR de Belén destacándose como campeón en natación en la categoría femenina y el CCDR de San José en la categoría masculina. Durante cuatro días de emocionantes competencias en la piscina del Polideportivo de Nicoya, participaron 340 atletas, incluyendo natación y paranatación.
El ministro de Deportes, Royner Mora, se unió al evento en su último día, expresando el compromiso del gobierno en colaboración con las federaciones deportivas y los comités cantonales de deporte.
“Yo creo que hay que mejorar muchísimo la infraestructura deportiva, pero algo que para mí es muy importante es que nuestros entrenadores, nuestros dirigentes deportivos se capaciten y se formen bien para que eso se lo puedan transmitir a los atletas y podamos mejorar como deportistas a nivel nacional”.
Donald Rojas director nacional del Instituto Costarricense del Deporte y la Recreación (Icoder), subrayó la relevancia de eventos como estos.
“Promover la práctica de deportes a nivel de todo el país, en la juventud, en la niñez y tener un parámetro para determinar en qué estado está cada uno de los atletas y cada uno de los cantones en su desarrollo”.
Sthefany Venegas y Eliel Torres atletas destacados
La elección de los atletas más destacados en esta edición de Juegos Deportivos Nacionales se rigió bajo los siguientes criterios en el siguiente orden de prioridad: cantidad de medallas de oro obtenidas, cantidad de récords impuestos y mejor puntuación FINAL.
Con estos parámetros, los designados al Premio Alfredo Cruz Bolaños de los XLI Juegos Deportivos Nacionales son Sthefany Venegas del CCDR de Belén y Eliel Torres, del CCDR de San José.
Sthefany Venegas quien brilló con 5 medallas de oro y 5 récords indicó estar muy feliz con los resultados.
“Quisiera agradecerle a mi entrenador Pablo Camacho, a mi fisio David Matamoros, a mis papás y a mis amigos que siempre me han estado apoyando en el proceso”.
Por su parte Eliel Torres, que destacó con 5 medallas de oro y 4 récords, expresó sentirse muy contento.
“Por ser el trabajo de entrenamientos muy duros y mucha disciplina, muchas gracias a mis entrenadores y a mi abuelita”.
Al cierre de la cuarta sesión, en femenino el primer lugar fue para el CCDR Belén con 572 puntos, seguido de San José con 282, 50 y Santa Ana con 256,50. En masculino los primeros puestos fueron para San José con 394 puntos, Belén con 385,50 y Santa Ana con 305, 50.
