Tenis de mesa primer disciplina tica en debutar en los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe San Salvador 2023

Las tenimesistas Sofia Pérez (16 años), Victoria Castro (16 años), y Lucia Zavaleta (15 años) fueron las primeras atletas costarricenses en competir en los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe San Salvador 2023.

En el juego inicial, en dobles, Sofía Pérez y Victoria Castro enfrentaron Clio Bárcena y Arantxa Cossio de México. Las nacionales fueron derrotadas 3-0.

En el primer compromiso individual, la tica Lucia Zavaleta realizó una espectacular presentación ante Yadira Silva; la azteca es una experimentada tenimesista. Pese a perder ante Silva, la costarricense tuvo un muy buen desempeño, el marcador final fue 3-1.

La última en competir fue Victoria Castro que enfrentó a Arantxa Cossio cayendo ante la azteca con un contundente 3-0.

En este momento Daniel Araya, Jeison Martínez y Alejandro Montoya, seleccionados masculinos de tenis de mesa están en competencia.

Por otra parte, en horas de la mañana arribó a San Salvador las seleccionadas de Halterofilia: Tatiana Salas, Melisson Araya, Sofía Ramírez y Dana Ramkelwan Vindas.
