En un afán de brindar asesoramiento a los encargados del equipo Jaco Royals, el pasado 2 de agosto del presente año, se trasladaron los ingenieros Marco Antonio Montero Pineda, Juan Antonio Picado Salvatierra, el estudiante Jafet Jurado Zúñiga, de la Escuela de Ingeniería Topográfica de la Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), el señor Jorge Brenes del Comité Olímpico Nacional, quienes junto a nuestro Presidente de la Federación Costarricense de Béisbol Señor Adrián Alfaro, visitaron el cantón de Garabito.
Visitaron el terreno donde se propone construir el campo de beisbol la Iglesia Horizon Church de Jaco, con el fin de hacer la delimitación general del campo por métodos topográficos, además de concluir las labores de movimiento de tierras a cargo del Ingeniero Henry Loaiza, también se contó con la presencia del encargado del equipo de Béisbol, señor Randy Díaz. Se tomaron consideraciones provisionales de ubicación de las diferentes áreas que compondrían el campo.
Además de lo anterior se seleccionaron las muestras de arcilla proporcionadas, siendo el material originario de Playa Bejuco el que se escogió.
