*FCA refuerza su compromiso de llevar la disciplina a todo tipo de población, sin excepción.

“¿Cómo mejorar y disfrutar del ajedrez sin límites?”, fue el título de la capacitación que ofreció en línea la Federación Costarricense de Ajedrez el martes 29 de marzo.
La misma, que fue impartida por el Gran Maestro israelí, Arthur Kogan, fue dirigida a entrenadores, monitores, dirigentes, deportistas y otros interesados en aprender técnicas para trabajar con personas con discapacidad. Y se realizó gracias al aporte del Instituto Costarricense del Deporte y la Recreación (ICODER), con dineros procedentes de la Ley 9739, que durante el año ha contribuido a impulsar de una manera más fuerte el ajedrez para personas con discapacidad.
“Sin límites quiere decir que es para gente discapacitada, pero también para el resto de interesados. Temas de edades, minorías en el ajedrez como el lado femenino, temas que se vieron para explicar que en el ajedrez siempre se puede mejorar, que hay maneras para ayudar a los alumnos para sacar el máximo de su talento y potencial utilizando algunos conceptos”, dijo vía telefónica desde España al departamento de prensa de la FCA, Kogan.
Se contó con la participación de 50 personas, entre las que destacaron la ministra de deportes, Karla Alemán, el presidente de la Federación, Luis Quirós, así como personas que acumulan muchos años ligadas al deporte ciencia.
“La respuesta fue muy buena, parecía que había mucho interés, participaron alrededor de 50 personas que me parece muy bueno, jugadores de todo tipo, monitores, gente de mucho nivel, así que me alegro mucho. También se notaba en las preguntas que formulaban que había interés, así como en los comentarios. Además, se ve que hay ganas de hacer las cosas bien, mejor, como lo comentó el presidente de la Federación, también la ministra; y que el ajedrez puede conquistar a Costa Rica como merece, a nivel educativo y de gente que lo necesita como especialmente alguna discapacidad, que para ellos es una manera de dar vida y tener esperanza”.
¿Qué tan importante es la capacitación para trabajar con este tipo de población? “Es una oportunidad enorme porque el ajedrez es el único deporte en el que muchas veces se pueden sentir más igualados, utilizando el cerebro más que nada, incluso los no videntes al final acostumbran ver el tablero en su mente y le pueden llegar a ganar a gente vidente. Tengo alumnos que le ganaron a grandes maestros incluso, y cada uno intenta superarse. Está demostrado que se puede haciendo las cosas bien y todo empieza con confianza, creer en uno mismo”, respondió el GM.
La FCA refuerza su compromiso con todo tipo de población para fortalecer el deporte en el país, y recuerda que la inclusión es una grada primordial para alcanzar el éxito. Es el camino y visón que sigue la junta directiva, ofreciendo capacitaciones de este nivel para propiciar ambientes adecuados para la población convencional y para aquella que presenta alguna discapacidad.
Kogan, dicho sea de paso, sostiene que muchos de los problemas a los que se enfrentan los deportistas con discapacidad para sobresalir, es casualmente que no se les ofrece un ambiente adecuado en el que puedan dar su mejor desempeño.
Arthur es una voz totalmente autorizada para puntualizar en este tema, por sus más de 18 años de trabajar con personas no videntes en España y de colaborar por mucho tiempo con personas con discapacidad.

“Desde los 5 años juego ajedrez, así que acumulo cuarenta y tantos años jugando un montón de torneos. También desde muy joven empecé a entrenar a otros y se me conoce más que nada como ganador de muchos torneos como Gran Maestro en diferentes países. En su momento ganaba bastante y parecía que me podía dedicar más a nivel profesional, pero al final decidí dedicar más a la familia, por eso me concentré en dar clases de ajedrez, en entrenar a otros y a eso le dedico el día más que nada. Tengo muchos campeones de diferentes edades, también de diferentes sexos. Alumnos como Nakamura que llegó a ser número 2 del mundo, también a Caruana, que llegó al número 2 del mundo, así como a chicas de India que llegaron a puestos importantes”, repasó Arthur Kogan, quien nació un 29 de enero de 1974.
Es un GM israelí, nacido en Ucrania, casado con la WIM Tatiana Plachkinova y padre de dos hijos.
A los dos años de edad le tocó emigrar de su tierra natal, Ucrania, y se instaló en Israel donde estuvo por 20 años. Se convirtió en jugador profesional de ajedrez y entrenador, lo que le permitió vivir en diferentes países. Actualmente reside en Tarragona, Cataluña, España.
Es una persona proactiva, que disfruta del ajedrez, tan así que desarrolló su propio método de entrenamiento llamado Olalachess, conectado con el pensamiento positivo y enfocado en crear armonía en el tablero, apoyándose en su lema “haz que tus piezas sonrían”.
Es así que como ha sido el guía de grandes jugadores como los GM Radjabov, Nakamura, Caruana, Le Quang, Tkachiev, entre otros. Además, formó a muchos jóvenes campeones nacionales en distintos países, entre los que destacan el campeón de Europa Sub 20, el holandés Denis De Vrougt.
