Con más de 250 personas capacitadas en los últimos años, la Federación Unida de Triatlón (Feutri) busca generar un mismo idioma entre los encargados de la formación de atletas a nivel nacional.
Desde el 2016 la federación imparte el curso de Formadores, el cual es fundamental para mejorar el perfil de entrenadores y entrenadoras nacionales, especialmente quienes tienen a cargo procesos de Juegos Nacionales o grupos de formación.
Carolina Mora, quien ha formado parte de la creación del curso, explicó cómo este se ha ido transformando a través del tiempo para mejorar y centrarse en las necesidades de la realidad costarricense, también gracias a la retroalimentación de las primeras ediciones.
En un principio se impartía durante un fin de semana y actualmente se desarrolla durante cuatro meses. Este año se inició el 6 de junio y concluyó el pasado 24 de octubre.
Al mismo tiempo, Mora considera que recientemente han visto resultados en los equipos y cómo los instructores están aplicando los conocimientos.
“Muchas personas nos escriben para hacernos consultas; se ha compartido mucha bibliografía, hemos podido aterrizar muchas cosas que pensábamos que solo se podían hacer en el extranjero. Nuestro curso no tiene nada que envidiarle a otros, es muy completo, las personas salen preparadas para ser formadores, tienen buenas bases de formación y enseñanza, que es lo más importante”.
Se han agregado materias importantes, así como más profesores, dando mayor diversidad, y sobre todo, especialización y profundidad.
“Antes era más teórico, ahora se hacen bitácoras, los instructores van y participan de una clase y lo ponen en cada bitácora, es más aterrizado a la realidad”
“La parte de lesiones lo que queríamos era una visión para que los instructores sepan dónde parar. Saber las lesiones más comunes y cómo actuar, no en solucionar, sino en la parte preventiva”.
También se incluyó la materia de fisiología, al darse cuenta que hacía falta “esa base, ya que no todo mundo venía de las ciencias de salud”. Por otra parte, la clase de planificación la dejaron por fuera y más bien lo convirtieron en un curso llamado Planificación y Periodización del Entrenamiento.
Para esa etapa las personas ya tienen un conocimiento adquirido en Formadores, y de esa forma pueden entender y cumplir con los objetivos.
“Puedo ver el buen trabajo de Formadores, porque llegan con conocimiento para entender lo que les queremos enseñar. Son complementarios, y existe una línea compartida de educación y de aprender de la manera correcta cómo planificar y programar entrenamientos para una población”, explicó Alberto Chinchilla, quien ha estado involucrado en el nacimiento del curso y también es parte del staff de profesores.
“Se busca que sea en población juvenil, que es la carencia, porque pocas personas se dedican a esto. Se puede ver la proyección de la federación para mejorar el conocimiento de entrenadores en la formación juvenil”.
Los programas están elaborados desde la parte teórica y práctica. Chinchilla apunta que en la parte práctica los profesores aplican su experiencia dando la retroalimentación y dependiendo de cada caso, porque aunque hay entrenadores con mejores bases, siempre se busca mejorar y darles más herramientas.
Dentro del marco que engloba la visión de la FEUTRI también está la charla llamada Destrezas para liderar una asociación, la cual está dirigida a directivos de asociaciones, y se imparte desde la semana anterior. Su objetivo es dar insumos de cómo liderar una asociación, tomando en cuenta que esas personas trabajan con la niñez, así como con padres y madres de familia.
