El Gimnasio del Liceo de Curridabat será el escenario este domingo para conocer a los nuevos campeones nacionales de la temporada 2024, en lo que será una verdadera fiesta deportiva que arrancará desde las 10 de la mañana y finalizará a eso de las 6 pm porque se jugarán partidos por el tercer y cuarto puesto en femenino y masculino y las finales en ambos géneros.
A las 10 am por el tercer puesto en femenino UNA/MTS/Heredia se medirá a San José/Alajuela; dos horas más tarde CCDR Cartago se mide a UNA/MTS/Heredia por el tercer puesto en masculino.
A partir de las 2 pm inicia la final femenina, Tarrazú contra CCDR Cartago y a las 4 la final masculina entre Liberia y Turrialba.
En la disputa por el título femenino el cuadro de Tarrazú cerró fuerte en el liderato, incluso al día de hoy no conoce lo que es la derrota, por lo que será un buen reto para las brumosas si desean arrebatarle en el juego definitivo el invicto y el título.
En masculino, Turrialba y Liberia se vuelven a ver las caras en una final, pues recientemente en Copa midieron fuerzas y el título fue para los liberianos. También se toparon en la final nacional de 2023, pero en esa ocasión la victoria fue para los turrialbeños.
Los azucareros llegan a la final tras eliminar en semifinales a los brumosos mientras que los liberianos superaron a los heredianos para conseguir el boleto a la cita más importante de la temporada. Un dato adicional es que Turrialba cerró líder la fase regular.
Los juegos serán transmitidos por el Canal Olímpico del Comité Olímpico Nacional.
