CIUDAD DE GUATEMALA, Guatemala, 24 de mayo de 2022.– Costa Rica perdió su segundo encuentro en la Copa Panamericana 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-15) contra el sexteto de Estado Unidos.

“El equipo viene creciendo, me han sorprendido por ser muy talentoso y la manera en que nos enfrentamos a Estados Unidos, está para soñar en grande. Hicieron un excelente partido”, destacó Alberto Blanco, Entrenador Costa Rica. 

El central y capitán de Costa Rica David Córdoba, destacó al anotar 9 puntos y el atacante Stanley Grant agregó 8 puntos, como los jugadores más valiosos de este partido. 

En el último día de la ronda de grupos, Costa Rica jugará ante Chile a las 2:00pm en el Domo. 

Estados Unidos tiene récord 2-0 y con una victoria más se impone en el grupo B para avanzar directamente a las semifinales y ganar uno de los cuatro boletos al Campeonato Mundial de la FIVB.
