La Selección Nacional confirmó este jueves sus dos partidos de fogueo para la fecha FIFA del próximo mes. La Tricolor enfrentará a República de Corea el 23 de setiembre y a Uzbekistán el 27 de setiembre en suelo asiático.
Ambos compromisos son vitales para el cuerpo técnico del equipo patrio, pues les dará la oportunidad de conjuntar al grupo a pocos meses de la cita mundialista.
Conversamos con el profesor Luis Fernando Suárez, quien en estos días trabaja en visitar a los diferentes clubes de Primera División y en depurar el trabajo a seguir para las próximas semanas antes del viaje a República de Corea el 19 de setiembre.
Importancia de los fogueos
Es importante el poder juntarnos nuevamente y hacer fútbol, vernos y hablar sobre lo que vemos como proyecto hacia el Mundial y por eso creo que es una gran noticia confirmar ambos fogueos.
Ese primer partido frente a Corea y el segundo ante Uzbekistán nos van a ayudar a lo que nosotros queremos: juntarnos y mirar cómo están los jugadores y trabajar en pos de ese primer partido del Mundial, donde debemos estar claritos sobre qué es lo que queremos y qué debemos hacer.
No se entrenará en Costa Rica
Es muy poco el tiempo que tenemos y el viaje es largo. La idea es que inmediatamente termine la fecha del campeonato acá, juntarnos, viajar hacia tierras asiáticas y allá entrenar y hacer de esos 10 días un tiempo valioso.
¿Podría haber caras nuevas?
Hay jugadores que ya han estado y que no va a ser una situación distinta en su llamado pues han conformado un buen equipo, pero tampoco dejo de lado la posibilidad de mirar nuevas opciones, jugadores que en determinado momento vea que en el campeonato están funcionando bien. Afortunadamente tenemos el tiempo necesario y hay una base de trabajo bastante buena y eso es importante para nosotros.

Lo más claro en esto es el conocimiento que debe tener uno para con los jugadores y eso normalmente se hace viéndolos en las canchas, en los entrenamientos y a través de los entrenadores, porque los que mejor ven y están en contactos con ellos es el entrenador. Por eso es importante estar en un diálogo constante para que todo esto funcione bien.
