La Selección Nacional de Fútsal volverá esta semana a escena con dos juegos amistosos ante nada más y nada menos que la subcampeona del mundo en esta disciplina: Argentina.
El técnico Alex Ramos presentó una lista de 20 jugadores donde destaca el recambio generacional con rostros muy jóvenes que vienen destacando en la liga local, así como figuras que ya acumulan años de experiencia.
Por ejemplo, el capitán de este grupo es Víctor Fonseca, quien estuvo en la última Copa del Mundo en Lituania. También destacan de ese grupo Minor Cabalceta, Milinton Tijerino, Pablo Rodríguez, Daniel Gómez, Jean Carlo Salas y el portero Álvaro Santamaría.
«Jugar contra la Selección de mayor crecimiento en los últimos seis años es un gran reto para nosotros. Arrancar etapa de fogueos contra una Selección de un nivel tan alto indudablemente nos compromete a tener que dar lo mejor de nosotros”, dijo el timonel.
Actualmente la Selección tiene un promedio de edad de 23.5 años y el objetivo del cuerpo técnico es montar las bases de una generación que pueda llegar a los Mundiales del 2024 y del 2028.
«Tenemos claro que es nuestro primer fogueo y arrancamos contra un rival muy calificado. Hemos estructurado una ruta de trabajo que nos debe llevar al Mundial del 2024 a competir y en ese camino tendremos que enfrentar una serie de obstáculos para poder ir creciendo”, añadió Ramos.
Los juegos serán el sábado 4 y lunes 6 de marzo en el Scotiabank Arena del Complejo FCRF-Plycem. El primero será a las 5:30 pm y el segundo a las 8 pm. El público podrá asistir y en los próximos días se anunciará el costo de la entrada.
