La Selección Masculina de Futsal tendrá amistosos de lujo en Europa como parte de la preparación para el Mundial de Uzbekistán 2024. Ucrania, Portugal, Cuba, Francia y España pondrán a prueba a la Tricolor.
El equipo dirigido por el DT Alex Ramos viajará a la localidad de Viseu, Portugal, para enfrentar a Ucrania el 22 de agosto, a Portugal, el actual campeón del mundo, el 23 de agosto y a Cuba el 25 de agosto.
Después viajarán a Madrid, España, para disputar una triangular en Las Rozas frente a Francia el 27 de agosto y España el 28. Por último, se instalarán en Nápoles, Italia, para foguearse frente a clubes locales de este país antes de viajar a la sede del Mundial.

El grupo se ha mantenido entrenando en los últimos meses para luchar por un puesto en la convocatoria final de 14 jugadores.
“Hay muchísima ilusión, nosotros hemos sido muy transparentes y les dejamos claro a los jugadores que hay una base importante que ha sido muy repetitiva y junto con esa base, tal vez haya un par de sorpresas en la lista final”, mencionó Ramos.
Los jugadores están muy entusiasmados por poder disputar el sexto mundial de Futsal en la historia de Costa Rica.
“Hay mucha ilusión y ansias porque vamos a recoger el fruto de tanto esfuerzo y trabajo, hemos trabajado muy fuerte con los jugadores del medio local, hay que recordar que tenemos jugadores en Europa y a otro grupo acá”, agregó el timonel.
Costa Rica debutará en el mundial el 14 de septiembre frente a Paraguay, después jugará contra Países Bajos el 17 de septiembre y cerrará la fase de grupos el 20 de septiembre ante el anfitrión, Uzbekistán.
La delegación nacional partirá hacia Europa el 20 de agosto y en los próximos días el entrenador revelará la lista final de convocados.
